Portable VOC detectors are often encountered in daily life, but many people do not use them, let alone maintain them. Let's take a look at the usage and maintenance methods of portable VOC detectors.
Usage of portable VOC detector:
Turn on the power in a fresh air environment, check the battery level, and ensure it meets the requirements;
Zero adjustment (or inspection): adjust the pointer to zero in clean air or check the reading to zero;
When measuring and reading data on site, the detector should read the detection data after the pointer and reading are stable;
When the portable VOC indicates 0, move the detector to a fresh air environment and turn off the power.
Maintenance method for portable VOC detector:
Under reasonable usage and appropriate maintenance conditions, the service life of detection and compensation components is generally 3-5 years;
For alarm devices with test buttons, press the test button once a week to check if the alarm system is functioning properly. Check the zero point and range of the alarm every two months;
Regularly check whether the testing instruments have accidentally entered water. When testing the instruments, the breathable cover of the detector should be removed for cleaning to avoid blockage;
The detector is an explosion-proof device and should not be used within the specified range. The detector should not be used in sulfur-containing environments. The detector should be used as much as possible when the concentration of combustible gas is below the lower explosive limit, otherwise the parts may burn out;
Do not use under hypoxic conditions, and be careful not to use a large amount of combustible gas directly towards the probe.
