The MP 9100 portable UV spectrophotometer uses UV detection technology and is a reliable high-precision water oil analyzer that uses n-hexane instead of carbon tetrachloride, which is harmful to human health and pollutes the environment, as an extractant. Adopting a portable design concept, combined with a guided operation menu, test results can be obtained in just a few minutes, making it very convenient for outdoor use.

Instrument principle:

UV spectrophotometry: Under the condition of pH ≤ 2, oil substances in the sample are extracted with n-hexane. The extract is dehydrated with anhydrous sodium sulfate and then adsorbed with magnesium silicate to remove polar substances such as animal and vegetable oils. The absorbance is measured at a wavelength of 225nm, and the content of petroleum is proportional to the absorbance value, which conforms to Lambert Beer's law.
