At present, photochemical pollution caused by volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has become an important environmental problem faced by some cities in China. The evaporation of oil products from urban gas stations is an important source of VOCs emissions, and the chemical activity of VOCs species contained in oil vapor is very high. Therefore, the contribution rate of VOC emissions from gas stations to ozone generation cannot be ignored. Recently, Guangzhou has been experiencing sustained high temperatures, strong sunshine, and an increase in ozone pollution. On July 28th, Guangzhou Television conducted an on-site interview regarding the "physical examination" service provided by the Liwan Branch of the Guangzhou Ecological Environment Bureau to the Longxi Avenue gas station in Liwan District.
In order to strengthen the comprehensive rectification of VOCs in key industries and promote the improvement of air quality, Guangdong Mingqin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., under the coordination of the ecological environment department of Liwan District, Guangzhou, carried out a special action to investigate VOCs leaks at gas stations in Liwan District.

On site, Mingqin Environmental Protection Technology engineers conducted a comprehensive inspection of the gas station, focusing on whether the oil and gas recovery system was operating normally and whether the refueling operation procedures were standard and standardized. And use portable VOCs detectors, portable methane/non methane total hydrocarbon monitors, VOCs gas leak detection infrared thermal imagers and other high-tech instruments to conduct on-site testing, effectively eliminating blind spots and hidden dangers. In the verification work, unmanned aerial vehicle cruising, online monitoring, and navigation monitoring were also used to improve the regulatory efficiency of VOCs leakage and reduce interference with enterprises.



So far, a total of 42 oil and gas leakage problems have been discovered in the project, and the leakage points have been sealed. Mingqin Environmental Protection Technology will establish a long-term management mechanism, adopt a combination of irregular inspections and supervision and testing, and continue to promote the VOCs emission reduction work of gas station enterprises, effectively reducing atmospheric pollution caused by oil and gas volatilization, eliminating environmental safety hazards, reducing energy waste, and reducing ozone pollution.

The leakage detection value of oil and gas sealing points should not exceed 500 μ mol/mol.
When using infrared camera to detect the sealing points of the oil and gas collection system, there should be no oil or gas leakage.
